Conference venue – updated!
The conference venue changed as we will provide a professional onsite video recording of all oral presentations with a double screen (i.e. for the speaker and the slides) that will be put online for free after the end of the CLOW3. The service is made by the ICT department of the University of Amsterdam. The name of the venue is Oudemanhuispoort (OMHP).
The closest bus stop to the venue did not change, it is still “Spui / Spui square”. The venue is approximately 15 minutes on foot (10 minutes on bike) from Amsterdam Central Station, which is directly connected with Schiphol Airport with convenient trains. For public transport across the Netherlands, we recommend the 9292 web site.

The city of Amsterdam is very well connected through the airport, the Amsterdam Central Station and the highways.
Participants are kindly requested to make their own accommodation arrangements.
Amsterdam has plenty of solutions for accommodation: hotels, hostels, houseboats and of course rooms and apartments. Please consider that the May 4 and 5 are special days in the Netherlands: Dodenherdenking (Remembrance of the Dead) and Bevrijdingsdag (Liberation Day). More information on the Wikipedia page Liberation Day. Our warm suggestion is to reserve your accommodation well in advance.
For single rooms, a good choice is the Tourist Inn Low Budget Hotel / Hostel located on Spuistraat, 10 minutes on foot (5 minutes on bike) from Amsterdam Central Station. You have to book it well in advance to be sure to find a room for you.
If you are ready to share a room, or if you are a small group, affordable prices are offered by the youth hostel Stayokay; there are three locations in Amsterdam, all well connected to Spui through public transportations.
An alternative to Stayokay is the backpacker hostel ClinkNoord located in Amsterdam Noord, conveniently located 5 minutes on ferry (free travel, no ticket) directly from Amsterdam Central station plus 5 minutes on foot in a nice location.
